What's a Fibula ?
Fibula is the Latin word meaning a buckle, brooch, or clasp. It is derived from the Latin word figo meaning to fasten.
A safety pin is a fibula and because our first studio-produced jewelry incorporated large safety pins, the name Fibula Studio seemed a natural choice.
The fibula bone is so named because the shape it makes with the tibia resembles a clasp.
